This is simply the best self-defence system and for me, the best aerobic work-out I have ever have.
Artur is a great instructor and gets the best out of everyone – beginners and more advanced students.
As Krav Maga is split up into separate sections such as defence against knives, guns etc, it really doesn’t matter when you join.
My partner and I went for 3 months and absolutely loved it! We learned a lot, Arthur is an awesome trainer and really got us motivated and everyone was really friendly.
We started off learning basic blocks and then built on that learning how to block knife attacks and baseball bats. We learned about how to respond if you get attacked in the street which was also really interesting and useful.
The fitness side of things was also brilliant – as well as learning techniques our fitness levels improved massively week by week and Artur was really encouraging.
It’s only because we’re moving well out of the area that we had to stop going otherwise we’d have definitely stayed in the club.
Great training, great people and a really great experience. Highlight recommend this class.
Krav Maga is a real, uncompromising and complete fighting system designed to actually work. There are no fancy Hollywood moves, this is not a “martial art” but a tough, demanding and extremely effective training programme suitable for men, women and children of all ages equipping them with skills to protect themselves and their loved ones in case of a real attack.
Krav Maga is itself a weapon.
As a former kravist, I’d been looking for a local school able to deliver the high quality training I was accustomed to. There are many other unofficial Krav Maga training centres, but ask yourself what you want to achieve – a false sense of security whilst being trained by someone with limited knowledge of the system, or a real skill which might one day save your life? This question has gained even a bigger importance in the wake of a recent terrorist attack in London. If your goal is just to get fit and meet new people, go to the gym. If you want to be able to stop an armed attacker (plus meet awesome like-minded individuals), come join us.
Yes it will be tough. You will sweat, ache, fight for every breath when faced with Artur’s famous “pressure tests”, designed to make you run on autopilot as you struggle to block attacks coming from every direction, too tired to think. But when you finally let your muscle memory take over and realise that you CAN fight off multiple attackers, it will be a feeling like nothing you’ve experienced before. A new wave of confidence. A total elation. A buzz of unstoppable energy.
You will absolutely love it.
Our Croydon-based instructor Artur Kieniksman is an absolute hero, a brilliant mentor and a hell of a fighter. He’s always willing to go the extra mile, devoting his private time to train his students on weekends. And he will turn you into a real kravist in no time, believe me. All you have to do is keep attending the classes.
And when the workout is over, come meet us at the bar. Because Croydon Krav Maga is not only about learning to fight, but also the sense of belonging, the unique camaraderie that comes with overcoming obstacles together. That was what’s drawn me to Krav Maga for the first time, and it’s what still keeps me going. Because unlike your gym session or spinning classes, people actually do care whether you turn up or not – especially your training partner. And it’s always worth the effort.
We are fighters. We are friends. We are Croydon Krav Maga.
Hands down the best instructor full of passion and great atmosphere!
